Today's Fabulous Friday Bride is Brittany! I absolutely loved going through her photos picking out ones that you all will love. I loved all her colors, the setting, the decor and of course her customized Cambridge dress!
Take a look and see how gorgous Brittany, Michael and their wedding was!
Couple's Name: Michael & Brittany
Wedding Date & Location: “June 21, 2014 at the New London Historical Society, New London, NH. We chose this location because the whole property had a great, old fashion feel but was beautifully kept. We loved that the ceremony and reception were in one place so our guests didn't have to travel from one location to the next and could just enjoy the beautiful property.”
Theme/Color/Style: “We knew we wanted a whimsical and fun wedding that was polished and put together but didn't take itself too seriously. Our colors were mint, lavender, coral, tangerine and we mixed in plenty of other colors as well. Our wedding designer achieved the desired "feel" by incorporating lots of fun colors and creative styling (like a paper flower alter). We also knew that we wanted a wedding with lots of special touches that meant something to us. For example, we had quotes lining the aisle, which my husband picked out one by one by his favorite authors. I learned to embroider from my Great Grandmother and so to honor her I embroidered my husband's shirt with our wedding date and hankies for my bridesmaids. We wanted to celebrate the support of our guests towards our marriage and in lieu of a guest book we had everyone sign a beautifully designed wedding certificate as our witnesses so we can always have a physical reminder of their support of our union.”
Dress: “My dress was the "Cambridge" with skirt length modification, sleeve length modification, back and front modifications and a sash!”
Favorite moment(s) from the wedding: “There were so many wonderful moments, but one of the major highlights of the wedding was that our ceremony was performed by my husband's father. It meant everything to us to have him officiate the event, to share his wisdom and lend personal advice. Together we wrote the entire ceremony so it was all very personal. My adorable nieces stole the show with their reading from "Winnie the Pooh" and their advice to us.”
Advice for future Dolly Couture brides: “Take time to work with the Dolly Couture consultants to have the dress made to your specifications. I found my consultant incredibly accommodating and I was able to have modifications made to base dress made that met all my expectations and was perfectly me!”
